About ArtOnly

ArtOnly is an independent digital publication covering music, visual art, and culture from every corner of the world. Founded to fill a gap in arts journalism, we write about the artists, albums, exhibitions, and cultural movements that matter, from London and Lagos to Seoul and Sao Paulo. Our editorial reach spans 44 countries, with ongoing coverage of emerging and established voices across six continents.

We cover album releases, gallery shows, film, literature, street culture, fashion, and the broader forces shaping creative life today. Every piece is written with a point of view. We do not publish press releases dressed as criticism. We do not run AI-generated filler. We source real photographs, cite real quotes, and write about work we have actually engaged with.

Our contributors write under four editorial identities. Allastair Voss covers music across genres, with a focus on experimental, jazz-adjacent, and left-of-center pop. Leelou Blanc writes about music from a cultural and biographical angle, tracing the lives behind the records. Monica Cosby covers visual art, with a particular interest in Black artists, diaspora art movements, and contemporary painting. Abel Blackburn writes about culture broadly, including film, literature, subcultures, and the spaces where art intersects with everyday life.

No algorithms set our editorial agenda. No clickbait. No sponsored content disguised as editorial. Just the work that matters, written by people who care about it.
